Welcome to my site. I am a qualified and experienced Humanistic & Gestalt Counsellor. I am based in the Warsash & Locks Heath area of Hampshire (SO31).  Making the decision to access counselling support can feel like a big step and I hope the following information is helpful to you.

I believe that people have the potential and the resources to live fulfilling lives. However, from time to time you may face difficult and challenging situations. You may feel overwhelmed, distressed or unable to cope. Your present experiences can often trigger memories of past difficulties and these can be confusing for you to process alone. For some people counselling is an opportunity to undertake personal development in a safe and supportive environment.

My approach to counselling is primarily based on the Humanistic model however I often integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focussed Therapy in to my work when it is appropriate.

I see my role as a counsellor to provide a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space. I seek to create openness in my therapeutic relationships. I facilitate and support people as they explore their experiences in order to reach greater understanding, clarity and awareness of themselves.

My counselling room in Warsash is easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Locks Heath, Park Gate, Sarisbury Green, Titchfield, Whiteley, Stubbington, Bursledon, Hamble, Fareham & Hedge End.

I work with people across age groups from 14 years upwards. I have supported people through a wide range of issues. These include anxiety, depression, ante & post natal depression, anger, stress, bereavement, loss, self injury, sexuality, gender identity, self esteem, family problems, relationship problems, work related problems. I am aware that every person will experience their own issues as an individual therefore I aim to work with each person based on their unique needs.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I adhere to the Professional Ethical Framework which can be viewed at www.bacp.co.uk. I am also a member of the Hampshire Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
